It is a wonder how some fail to see home as their best, last and only refuge.
No matter what happens to one in the day, the only reassurance we have at the end of it all is that warm and comfy bed that is awaitng us at home, and hopefully a warm meal on the table. I can understand that not everyone's situation is as idealistic, but at the end of the day, the people who will support you through the roughest patches in your life; is indeed your family. That is something that no one can deny.
However, it is indeed interesting to note the rising of families outside of the real one. Teens these days, especially from the age of 13-16, seem to regard that family outside their own more like their true family then anything else. It is quite amazing to see this happening, as the social complications that it carries is huge. The idealistic family unit/block that the governments worldwide had used to plan their nations with are slowly eroded away, and it is a small wonder why some of the critics of this situaiton are just dismissing it simply as the teenage syndrome, where everyone turns rebellious for a certain period of time. To simply label the entire population's respond with one word, is at best, stupid.
Families inside and outside. Which one works for you? The one outside or inside? Most of the times, it is the family outside that most of us treasure more than anything else. Humans crave for contact with other people so much that they are willing to establish these networks outside to experience things that are forgone in the real family unit. These days, its all about collecting toilet paper from different insititutes, hoping that these pieces of "ToiletPaper" would come in useful in the future for your job applications. The fun that the family can experience is reduced. Most, if not all families take their duty of utmost importance to be that of earning enough to support the entire family. Somehow, in the cycle of human evolution, they have forgot how to love, and have fun, which is something that a kid should be entitled to, rather than spending his/her first years in a stuffy room with a piano, or around a table filled with assessments and the like.
What is society turning into?
